Abstract 摘 要
Launched in 2007, Nature Photonics is a monthly journal dedicated to optics and photonics that publishes top-quality, peer-reviewed research in all areas of light generation, manipulation, detection and applications. In this talk, I will introduce the journal, its aim and scope and some statistics on topics and submissions. Recent trends and developments in scientific publishing will also be presented, including the move towards open access, new forms of peer review and handling of data. The talk will also offer an overview of the editorial and peer-review process at Nature Photonics and what editors look for in a submission. I will provide tips on how to write a convincing cover letter, abstract and paper and how to contribute to Nature Photonics beyond publishing primary research findings.
